Uncovering the unhinged identities of craftspeople individually to embroider them as crafts communities.
Each of five women practised different embroidery styles and they represented different words to me. One was compassionate, one was humble, one was empowered, one assertive and one was patient. These individuals created woven homes which were tied together by the crafts. Each of them so unique and effortless but they all had one thing in common, which was their love for the craft. This illustration is my attempt to celebrate their individuality as they become a part of a bigger, beautiful community.
