From Where I Stand

Community Skies
Amidst Dharavi’s winding lanes,
An 18-year-old girl, in search remains,
For the first path she once took,
Among thousands that now overtook.
The light from the sky’s brilliant hue,
Through windows, casts hope anew,
I stand among doors and windows vast,
A million tales from the past.
An elderly couple, a kid in sight,
Dancing with joy, in the warm light,
And amidst this beautiful scene,
I found what I had been keen.
A community in the narrow lanes,
Shares a sky of dreams and aspirations, reigns,
And as I gaze up at the blue expanse,
I’m reminded of the beauty in life’s dance.
