Anagha's series of photography-based drawings depicts the dreams and wishes of her father and deeply connected with the fisherfolk communities to which she belongs.
Each image will take a different turn as a result of the interaction between Anagha and her father. Pictures show the routine tasks and hardships that fisherman face when fishing, demonstrating how environmental and ecological factors have an invisible impact on their life. These delicate pastel drawings serve as memory sediments on the photographic surface.
This scene depicts the woes of a fisherman, where nature itself comes in the way of simple folks trying to earn their livelihood. It shows the helplessness encountered by my father when the water bodies are seasonally taken over by water hyacinths.
This is cheenavala (Chinese net). There is a hope that the light placed on it will attract fish.

The petromax. My father used this device to catch carp before the advent of headlights. (The light struck the eyes of the fish, losing their vision and making them comfortable for archery).
